Cornerstone Presbyterian Church of Brevard is seeking a pianist for Sunday worship services and Sunday afternoon choir rehearsal, salary to be negotiated.
We are looking for someone to provide primary piano accompaniment for the Sunday AM and PM Worship services including prelude, hymn accompaniment, offertory, postlude, and choir accompaniment. Hymns are selected by the Pastor. The choir rehearses prior to the worship service at 10:30 a.m. Worship begins at 10:55 and concludes at noon. Choir rehearsal on Sunday afternoons (4:45 – 5:45 p.m.) is followed by evening worship at 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. The worship at Cornerstone is traditional and the congregation uses the Trinity Hymnal; however there is occasional use of "contemporary" choruses. During the summer months of July and August a number of Brevard Music Center students attend morning worship and are invited to play their instruments.
The pianist is under the oversight of the Choir Director, Clem Boatright, who is under the oversight of the Session through its Moderator, the Pastor.
